Ride and Drive Safely

Let's do a little backtracking:

My first jeepney experience here in Cebu was really terrible. It was raining so hard and I was off to the University of San Carlos Main Campus to get my entrance exam results. You would see me holding my umbrella at my left hand and a folder for all my requirements at my right hand. When I got to enter the jeepney, the driver went on without considering I was wasn't seated yet and worse all the passengers were just staring at me. I was really polite in saying, pwede isbug nalang gamay? [can you please move a little] and guess what, they really did move - moved backwards. They had to let me sit at the farthest seat, the seat at the back of the driver. T.T I was so dizzy that I lost my balance and dropped my folder, had the papers scattered on the floor and had them wet too with the droplets of water from my umbrella. Good thing I was able to hold the bars and got my balance back. It was really awful >.<

And so here's the point:

For the number of incidents I've seen this and encountered again, I feel extremely annoyed, pissed, irritated, and etc. WHY CAN'T WE JUST CONSIDER? Why can't we Give Way? Why can't we move towards the driver so that the new passenger can sit directly without having the hazardous tendency of getting hurt?  o.O Is that a very hard thing to do? This may push us farther but at least we can be sure no one gets hurt. And I hope the drivers should be responsible enough to wait while the passengers are still not seated.  Let's try to put ourselves in the shoes of the new passenger/s who are in this situation.

Let me quote the golden rule, "Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you".
Let's keep on instilling this in our mindsets. Peace and Love everyone ;)
